Buccal fat removal is a 30-minute procedure that is carried out under local anaesthesia, usually in a clinic like a dental procedure. The surgery is scarless, where the fat is extracted from inside the mouth through a 1.5 cm cut.
What Is the Downtime?
Mild to moderate cheek swelling is expected after the surgery, peaking at 1-2 days after surgery. Most will look back to normal after 5 days and the final facial slimming results at around 3 months.
