Is it painful?
Before the a threadlift, numbing cream is applied to the skin. After this has taken effectiveness, local anaesthetic is injected into the skin. This numbs the tissues to be lifted effectively and most patients don’t feel much pain.
Where are the cuts?

Are the results lasting?
This depends on the threads used. The results may last from under 1 year to 2 years for Silhouette Soft. The longer lasting outcome is a result of the thread material used. Modern polydiaxone (PDS) threads have “biostimulatory” effect that stimulates collagen production after placement. This maintains the lifted results for longer.
Will I get a facelift result if I have more threads?
If you are not ready to go under the knife, a thread lift is the next best alternative to a surgical facelift. However, it does not achieve the results of a surgical face lift even if more threads are used, especially when you have advanced aging changes in the face, such as heavy jowls and sagging neckline.
What are the risks?
Mild swelling, bruising, asymmetry and temporary puckering can occur after a thread lift. Doctors are moving away from permanent threads as the scarring from these threads can leave permanent puckering. Look for a doctor who is experienced in thread lifts. Wrong placement of threads can damage deeper structures like nerves.
